Get to know us
Minerva Modellismo Ferroviario was born in 2015 when, fascinated by the world of photoetching and metal models, we decided to get involved and try to interpret some models, first in TT scale, and then move on to HO scale.
Why "Minerva"? Simple answer, it is the symbol of the city that unites us, Pavia, Roman deity protector of the
artisans.
After a few years of pause due to work and study commitments, in 2022 we are taking back everything we had learned in previous years to start proposing new models, with the help of new technologies that have developed in the meantime. Hence the idea of creating assembly kits that had a single goal: ease of assembly. Obviously, it was easy to get carried away also towards a strong realism and the almost faithful reproduction of reality, from which projects were born for perfectionists who are not satisfied with compromises.
For us Minerva is not a job, but mainly a hobby in which we want to have fun and create beautiful models that satisfy us first of all and we hope that they can also be appreciated by all those who come to visit us at the fair or who pass by this site.
Giacomo Saccani - I am an industrial automation engineer, my main job is in a company that deals with automation systems in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields. My passion for model railways started when I was little, about 6 years old, when we had just moved into a new house and had a spare room, my dad asked me if we wanted to build a model railway or a darkroom together. My answer was clear.
Flavio Re - Fascinated since I was very young by the world of model railways, with the arrival of adulthood, I dedicated myself to this hobby, becoming a real passion. Thanks to my enterprising and energetic spirit I am always looking for and working on new projects, one of these is Minerva Modellismo.
Giuliano Zanetti - I was born in 1949 so I'm no longer so young but I'm always attentive to new things in model railways and beyond, curiosity and enthusiasm are two things that I never lack.
