Pm/Po-Type 1930 wagon

The Pm/Po-Type wagons were built in the years following 1930 by Ferrovie dello Stato, using chassis from wagons of the Rete Mediterranea (RM) and the Rete Adriatica (RA). They were mainly used for transporting boulders, and marble in particular. However, as open wagons, they were also suitable for transporting timber. The Pm/Po series included wagons with variable wheelbase, featuring three or four tipping sides per side. The chassis was metal, with wooden beams forming the load-bearing surface. The end boards were fixed. A braking system was never fitted; however, in the late 1940s, a through-pipe for the pneumatic brake was added to some wagons. The traction system was of the continuous welded-rod type.
Originally, the marking was Pm, with reinforcing beams on the floor. Around the 1940s, the latter was removed and the marking changed to Po.
Model features
The perfect H0 scale model is made of metal and resin, with the main parts of the body, chassis and roof made of 0.4mm photoetched nickel silver and the aesthetic details of the underbody made of high-definition molded resin. Axles and coupling holders are NEM standard. The buffers are in cast metal.
